In 2005, the Middlebury
Police Department was awarded a $100,000 grant to be utilized for the
purchase of new technology to enable the agency to better carry out its
mission. The grant funded the implementation of several new
projects, including a new digital surveillance recording system for the
facility, a computer forensic system, a forensic video analysis system,
a total station accident/crime scene laser measuring device, 3D
accident/crime scene reconstruction software, and digital
photography/video equipment. This grant has enabled the Middlebury
Police Department to embrace the latest technological advances as it
strives to better serve the residents of the Town of Middlebury.
MPD is very fortunate to have equipment and capabilities that far exceed
those of many larger law enforcement agencies throughout the country. |
